Privacy Policy

Stoku is built offline-first. We do not run cloud database servers, we do not have user accounts, and we never see what you track in your home.

Summary: Stoku does not track you. All your items, buy cycles, and shopping list entries stay in a local database on your phone. There is no sign-in, no telemetry, and no advertising.

01What we collect

Nothing from your inventory. Stoku has no user accounts, no telemetry, and no server storing your data. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or anything you type into the app.

Your inventory data stays strictly on your device.

02What stays on your device

Everything the app knows is stored in a local SQLite database on your device:

Your items: Names, emojis, categories, buy intervals, purchase dates, and any optional notes, brands, stores, or prices.
Your shopping list: Linked restock entries, manual text items, and checklist statuses.
Your settings: Reminder times, language preferences, and widget cache data.

Uninstalling the app deletes this local database. Settings → Reset removes all items without uninstalling. Neither action sends anything to us.

03Backups you export

Settings → Export creates a clean JSON backup file and opens your system share sheet. You decide where to save it (such as Apple Files, Google Drive, iCloud, or an email to yourself). We never receive a copy.

Restoring works locally in reverse: you select a backup file from your device, and Stoku reads and validates it entirely on-device.

04In-app purchases and subscriptions

When you purchase a Lifetime unlock or a subscription, payment is handled directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).

We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and verify your unlock status across app launches. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user ID and the cryptographic receipt token provided by the app store. RevenueCat does not receive your inventory items, personal details, or notes.

05Local notifications

The daily restock reminder is a local notification scheduled directly on your device. No external push notification server is involved. You can adjust the reminder time or turn it off entirely in Settings.

06Children’s privacy

Stoku is a general household utility. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

07Changes to this policy

If any future update introduces network-connected features (such as multi-device sync), this privacy policy will be updated clearly in advance. The date at the top always reflects the active version.
